How counselling can help you

Counselling can give you the opportunity to explore your feelings and emotions. When worries and concerns are acknowledged often they can be worked through and you can start to live a more enjoyable life.

Sometimes past experiences impact on how we live now. Exploring your past can help you to understand your responses to situations now. A greater understanding can help you to make good choices for your future.

Although loss and change are inevitable, sometimes it can be devastating. Counselling can give you the opportunity to work sensitively through your emotions and can help you rebuild your life around your loss.

Counselling helps people who are ready to explore a difficulty or distress. The most important thing is to feel comfortable and at ease with your counsellor and the environment. I can provide a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space for you to talk.

Counselling can be an uncomfortable and difficult process as it involves discussing things that may have been pushed aside. In my experience when people feel heard and understood they become more confident and are more able to find ways forward.

The only expert when it comes to you, is you. Counselling is not about giving you advice - it's about helping you to unravel confusing thoughts and feelings that are getting in the way of you leading a more fulfilling life.
